We have all been there either professionally or as an amateur. You’re all set up for that perfect shot. The dog is sitting, the toddler is smiling, and everyone is photo ready, then you see it. Someone blinked, the photo is blurry and now you have let everyone down. Okay maybe not that dramatic, but with a few pointers you can stop taking a thousand pictures only for that one good shot.
TWO HANDS
Holding the camera’s handgrip in your right hand and cradling the body (or lense) of the camera with your left is the ideal way to get that perfect picture. By holding the camera this way, you stabilize and control the shot. Making your old wiggly blurry photos a thing of the past!
HOLD CAMERA TO YOUR FACE
Normally we do not realize how much we move around and shake until we are attempting to stand still. Bringing the camera to your face while taking a picture will help stabilize your camera and help give you more control.
PUSH ELBOWS DOWN
Tuck your elbows into your sides and rest them against your body. Your body will be the anchor or resting point whilst holding that heavy gear or camera. This will surely make a great shot! The more stable the better!
With these awesome tips in mind you too can take photos like a professional photographer! Keeping the camera stabilized at all times will help you get that nice clear shot! Now of course, if you really get tired of that , there’s always tripods available for an even easier way to snap that photo.
